09.00 and all of the riders were assembled at Brands Hatch together with plenty of well-wishers and photographers. Police motorcycle escort with flashing lights held the traffic up as we all exited the circuit - which set the tone for the ride - this is something special, not just an ordinary trip on a motorcycle.

The Spinal Research banner was proudly displayed in front of the assembled machines, and all the riders donned Spinal Research Ride Out Tee Shirts over their leathers before the off - to display to all the cause we are supporting.
Four founder members of KAMG were present - three of whom are participating in the run all of this week, including the founder himself, Terry Friday:
